This shawl was inspired by the varied and detailed architecture of New Orleans. The center lace panel emulates the ornate wrought-iron railings of balconies, while the vertical eyelet rows mimic this zig-zag movement.

This chubby baby dinosaur pattern uses a variety of techniques and can be made in any yarn weight. Simply use a needle two sizes smaller than what your chosen yarn calls for to create a strong fabric that the stuffing won’t show through. It also doesn’t use very much yarn so get out the scraps!

This shawl was designed for variegated yarns in mind. The garter stitch rows and simple elegant lace panel along the bottom will show of striping or pooling well. There is an option in the pattern to use up the entire yardage of your special skein by weighing the yarn, knitting until half of your yarn is used up, then beginning decreases.

This shawl was inspired by the architecture of the Eiffel Tower. It’s been years since I lived in France but the structure made an impression on me. You can see the criss-cross lattice lace bordered by rows of eyelets and separated with a panel of ridges meant to suggest the platform sections of the tower.
