Kori is Finnish word for basket. The name comes from basket weave stitch pattern. The stitch pattern started to inspire me and I had to knit socks using it. To highlight the three dimensional effect of the pattern I used worsted weight sock yarn. The socks are knitted cuff-down. The heel is french heel and the socks have wedge toes.

I designed these socks for my sister. She likes to play video games and I got inspiration for these socks from the Legend of Zelda game and the Triforce symbol. Color mixing -socks are striped toe-up socks with afterthought heels. Colours are changed by knitting simple colorwork. On both sides of the heel there are minigussets to get better fit.
