This e-booklet contains instructions for tube socks and a hat both worked in reversible lace from the same pattern and charts. The socks and hat use different yarns, gauge, needles, and multiples of pattern at the cast-on. If you are interested in understanding how to generate different garments from one stitch pattern, this e-booklet may be of interest.

Knitting: Ankle Sock
This simple toe-up sock was one of the featured patterns for Blue Ridge Fiber Fest 2023. It was included in “Knit the Festival Sock” class materials.
Knitting: Shrug / Bolero
Why is this pattern free? This garment was meant to debut at STITCHES United in March 2020. While the garment was completed in time, somehow writing the pattern has dragged on for months. Thus the designer is doing penance by offering this pattern for free. If you like it, please support Leading Men Fiber Arts or another independent yarn produc...
Knitting: Coat / Jacket
If you want to see this garment in person, it will be in the fashion show at STITCHES SoCal, and then in the vendor booth for Stunning String Studios. The show is 14-17 November 2019 in Pasadena, California.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Hat is worked top-down to the desired depth. Because the cables are reversible, simply turn up the cast-off edge to create a brim.
Knitting: Scarf
Designer teaches a class called “Easy Reversible Cables.” As of March 2020, this pattern is included in the handout for that class.
Knitting: Doll Clothes - Other
This is a one-skein project to teach the swirl jacket construction from Sandra McIver’s book. While the pattern will walk you through the whole garment, I wrote the pattern with the assumption that you have the knit, Swirl jacket book. This was originally meant as a workshop project to encourage people to try the full-sized jackets in the book,...
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This luxury one-skein project uses reversible lace to create warm and elegant mitts. Worked from the top down in one piece, you can knit until you are almost out of yarn, leaving little waste (an “ad finitum” project). Mitts can be worn with cuffs turned up or down. Since they are completely reversible, the directions for the left-hand and righ...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is a slightly above basic reversible lace. It uses 1×1 ribbing, double yarn-overs, and both left-leaning and right-leaning reversible decreases. The pattern begins with one-color Italian cast-on and ends with a tubular bind-off. The stitch pattern is a 24-row repeat, with action on right-side rows and 1×1 ribbing on wrong-side rows.
Knitting: Scarf
Errata: If you have version 1.0 of the pattern, I wrote “k1” in the instructions where I should have written “kp” (knit 1, purl 1.) If you are working from the chart, you are probably fine.
Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
This pattern was originally offered at The Whole Nine Yarns in Woodstock, Georgia, United States for their Christmas in July celebration on 26 July 2015.
Knitting: Scarf
Entrelac scarf using just a little patterning in the blocks. Blocks are flat joined using Rick Mondragon’s sliding loop modular intarsia technique. The scarf can be made almost-reversible in a long-print yarn, or completely reversible in a plain yarn. The pattern is for a 4-block wide scarf, but includes universal directions to work an odd-numb...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is a basic rectangular shawl/stole with a textured border pattern at each end. It has a little sexy sway and nice drape, and would be a great accessory for cocktail parties, proms and weddings, or a night at the opera. The shimmer and glimmer of Moonshine yarn brings glamour to the occasion. With a simple shawl stick, this wrap is a worthy...
Knitting: Sachet
Originally written for Christmas in July 2012 at The Whole Nine Yarns in Woodstock, Georgia.
