This is a crescent shaped modern shawl with pattern inspiration from the Swedish regional knitting tradition “Binge”.

The stranded pattern “Binge Blomster” is an old traditional pattern from the south part of the Swedish province Halland.

This is the MOCK (= Mystery Sock) pattern in SKA, July 2012.

The pattern name has nothing to do with neither religion nor the X-files. Once you’ve started to knit those cute little leaves down the leg of the sock it’s hard to stop - you want to go on, “to beleaf”.

Two colors are used. Matching colors, with some contrast, is recommended.

The pattern is designed this way to fit us sturdy built people that have significantly wider calves than ankles. This potholder is knitted in the round. Only knitting, no purls. Never more than two colours at a time, and no long floats. Chart for pattern. You can use dpn’s, a short circular needle or a long one if you use the magic loop.
