We’ve had a lot of rain lately and the pond I usually walk my dogs around has burst its banks. It even has wind-whipped waves breaking over the car park. I needed a pair of warm, woolly socks to keep my toes warm while trudging through the mud with the soggy dogs and so, this pattern was born.

This pattern is knitted in the round using dpns. You could use a circular needle and the magic loop method or you could knit them flat and sew up a seam at the side. This is a great stash buster and quick to knit up so a good last-minute project for Christmas.
