Crochet: Scarf
The laceweight yarn is held together throughout allowing for a beautiful blending of colors. The content of the yarn is a 55/45 Superwash BFL/Silk blend that has a wonderful drape.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl starts with a simple curved edging that is worked sideways. Turning 90-degrees, a border and the main body of the shawl is worked from the bottom up. Gentle shaping helps the shawl sit easily on your shoulder.
Crochet: Cowl
This pattern uses sock/fingering weight yarn to create motifs which are then joined together with fuzzy alpaca blend. In the sample, I ran out of my main color at 25 of 27 motifs and substituted another sock yarn. This could be a great way to use up all those bits of sock yarn.
Crochet: Hats - Other
Whether made in a semi-solid for a chic look or in variegated yarn for optimum impact, this is a statement hat. The motifs are worked individually and then joined together. The crown is added and then the brim. You wind up with beautiful spiral stripes and fuzzy perfection.
Crochet: Cowl
This pattern is a simple cowl crocheted from the bottom up. It uses post stitches to create lots of texture. The decreases are incorporated into the pattern adding to the design. It uses 4 oz of worsted weight yarn.
Crochet: Scarf
The pattern is worked width-wise from the bottom up. Ending with a decorative edging. You then go back and add the edging to the initial row of chains.
Crochet: Scarf
I released a pattern a few years ago featuring colorwork that brought to mind Moroccan arabesque tiles. I’ve been toying with the idea of redoing the pattern in thick, cozy yarn, taking away the lace and adding fringe for extra style. This is the result.
Crochet: Cowl
This playful cowl is the perfect choice for beautiful, hand-dyed yarns full of color and life. The maker chooses a particular color and then creates a “special stitch” whenever that color turns up.
Crochet: Pullover
For this project, I revisited a sweater I designed for my oldest when she was three. With diamonds, and bobbles, and picots, it was a match for her exuberant personality.
Crochet: Cowl
This cowl plays with color and positive and negative space. It’s a great way to feature yarns with long color runs. It’s also a fun way to dress up a sweater or add a little color to an outfit for cozy fall and winter days.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
Note: As a thank you to all the LYS Tour participants, this pattern is free till June 1. While it shows as $5, a coupon automatically takes $5 off.
Crochet: Dress
This lovely sundress for the sweet little teenie in your life is the perfect summer style. Add sporty stripes, or go with a delicate border. In a cotton/wool blend it’ll keep cool and still go through the wash.
Crochet: Bag - Other
This pattern is a great introductory to woven crochet featuring two colors of filet woven together. Check out other woven crochet patterns for a variety of bags.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
This simple crochet hat features a stretchy ribbed brim, attractive stripes, and subtle texture. I was brainstorming ways to use up some leftover yarn, and decided to make a “manly” hat. My husband has appropriated it, so it must have been a success.
Crochet: Cloche Hat
While traveling in Iceland, I saw a collection of beautiful felted hats. I loved the flat tops, shirred sides, and rich vibrant colors.
Crochet: Poncho
This design plays up the beautiful color of Huckleberry Knits American Dream Gradient. It’s just the right weight to add a little warmth on a cool fall day and straddles boho-chic or business casual with ease.
Crochet: Scarf
This pattern debuted at the Western Washington Local Yarn Shop Tour for Quintessential Knits as their original crochet pattern. I love when a yarn and a pattern come together in a beautiful way. This pairing is rather magical. I hope you enjoy it.
