The Granny Square Capelet is made of crocheted granny squares attached to each other for circumference. They are then picked up and knit from the bottom up to the top of the capelet. The bottom circumference can be adjusted by make more or less squares. This pattern is made with 10 squares that are 7” x 7” when blocked; circumference being 70”....

This slip stitch pattern can be knit in worsted or bulky yarn. Yarn weight will determine finished size/circumference. Pictures from top to bottom at left are Malabrigo, Dream in Color and Plymouth Baby Alpaca Grande.

Pattern repeat is 23 sts. Cast on for circumference can be adjusted by adding or subtracting in multiplies of 23 sts.
