Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
The socks are knit with Turkish Cast On method and then uses a Fleegle heel which gives the sock a very nice gusset.
Knitting: Brimmed Hat
The dress hat has a nice turned up brim. If a narrower brim is desired just knit between 2 & 3 inches. After felting is is a good idea to set on a blown up balloon the same circumference as the finished size. The hat should be air dried. Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Knitting: Beanie, Toque, Mid-calf Socks
The pattern is for a beanie type hat starting at the brim with a 2 x 2 rib. The sock pattern is for toe up. I suggest the 32” circular needles for magic loop. The hat used 14 grams of yarn and the socks used 11grams.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
The pattern uses a Turkish cast on and a German short row heel and is knit using the Magic loop method. I suggest using an 80cm cord. I have included a chart showing the numbers required for each size.
Knitting: Tote, Purse / Handbag
The bag is knit in the round starting at the bottom using an 80cm circular needle. The moose graph is included for the stranded colour work.
Knitting: Cowl
Knitting: Headband
The Celtic Knot Headband is knit on a 4.5mm needle for a close knit. The instructions for the cables are repeated on page 2 for your convenience. It can also be knit in worsted weight yarn with the same yardage.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
The work sock is knit using three colours of yarn. Red, off white and grey. The foot length can be altered to fit women’s small and large foot sizes. If necessary change to a 2.75/3 mm needle for smaller circumference.
