Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a quick-knitting newborn beanie with a chevron stripe and sweet little bear ears. Great for boys or girls, this hat is made from bulky yarn and uses less than one skein (I can get at least 2 of these out of one skein of Pacific Chunky).

Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a quick-knitting little beanie with a chevron pattern that can be worked texturally in a single color, or in colorwork with 2 colors. Great for boys or girls, this hat is finished with a big pom-pom for a playful touch.

Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This pattern includes instructions to knit one pair of adult-sized fingerless mitts. The lace zigzag pattern is stylish, yet simple. The palm is worked in stockinette stitch for comfort. The thumb gusset is worked with the mitts and then moved to scrap yarn for finishing at the end. These mitts knit up quickly and make excellent gifts.

Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a cozy, textured beanie that is loose-fitting enough to cover a ponytail. This is a great way to use dark-colored or variegated yarn without losing the detail of the design. Finish this off with a big pom pom (a faux fur pom pom would like nice on this too) for a finished look.

Knitting: Headband
This is a warm headband/ear warmer that knits up quickly and is a good way to use leftover yarn. This headband is designed with two buttonholes, so you can adjust the size if it stretches over time (which most knit items do). The button construction also allows you to put on the headband without pulling it over your face and messing up your hair.
