Knitting: Cowl
This snuggly neckwarmer/cowl starts with a provisional cast-on in the round and is 24.5” of meditative bliss in a simple, easy-to-memorize, 4x4 stitch, colorwork chart. The piece is joined with the Kitchener stitch.
Knitting: Pullover
This pullover is worked in pieces from the bottom up, then sewn together. The sleeves are picked up from the armholes and worked down to the cuffs, with short-row shaping to shape the caps. The shawl collar is also shaped using short rows. The women’s version features waist shaping. The cable patterns are given in chart form only.

Knitting: Pullover
The design for this sweater takes inspiration from the wool sweaters worn by cadets at military academies around the world. This sweater imagines what a future cadet might wear at a space academy: a classically structured garment with subtle geometric elements suitable for space travellers as well as women of our time.
Knitting: Beret, Tam
This is a stranded colorwork beret in two colors, which uses medium length floats. The brim circumference takes into account negative ease and will comfortably fit a head circumference of 22-23” (56-57 cm). Wet blocking with an 11” (28 cm) dinner plate inserted into the hat, will create the flat, disk-like crown.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Taiga is a wonderful hat pattern worked from the bottom up featuring a simple alternating stranded colorwork pattern, twisted rib brim, and a jaunty pompom at the crown. Suitable for those beginning stranded colorwork, it can be worked using one 50g skein for the main color and scraps of finger or sock weight yarn for the contrasting colors.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
A simple sock pattern dedicated to fans of sci-fi. Go ahead and watch another episode of Dr. Who… and let these socks keep your needles busy!
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This is a wonderfully cushy, elastic sock with an easy cable pattern that produces interlocking hexagons reminiscent of a honeycomb. I would recommend any fingering weight sock yarn in a solid or slightly variegated color to let the texture take center stage.
