Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
The tradition continues! I love rolling out a new take on a classic sock in December. December always becomes my month to take a break from pattern knitting and work on personal socks all month.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Advents and minis are always difficult to design for. This one has been in my back pocket for awhile waiting to come to life and I couldn’t be happier with the final project. The slip stitch texture is so easy and mindless, exactly the kind of knitting I look for this time of year. The finished fabric is warm and lush. It drapes so beautiful an...

I love a vanilla sock. Its the perfect canvas to create something your style and taste. Just like your favorite coffee shop, the Coffee Order Socks includes options to mix, match and sprinkle onto your next vanilla sock project and make it your very own unique combination.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
A banner day is defined as a one worthy of a banner being hung because of its excellence and memorability — what a perfect name for these joyful top-down socks!
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
A classic pair of socks is one of my very favorite things to knit especially in winter. Every December I seems to do a hard reset on my knitting and knit a BUNCH of socks. Leading up to the holidays it’s all I want to work on. I prefer a vanilla sock, but I wanted to create some simple details to add a little flair to these.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I’m generally not a gift knitter. It’s not that I don’t want to make beautiful handknit treasures for my loved ones. I just struggle with a soft deadline and always over commit my time.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
If you have followed me for awhile, you know I love sock sets. I’m always trying to challenge myself to find new ways to us these combinations of a 100g and coordinating 20g skein of fingering weight yarn. When Sam of Lavender Lune Yarn asked me to come up with a shawl or wrap design for her 4 sock set holiday countdown, I couldn’t resist.
Knitting: Ankle Sock
Short socks in two variations. Button Flower Variation shown in “Winter Blush” pink color, with single bloom on long stems. Lavender Variation shown in “A Cloak of Mist” silver color, with stack of buds.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I’m so excited to bring you a new countdown/advent/scrappy pattern for this holiday season! I had to take a break in 2021 since I was in the final stretch of writing my book and I jumped at the chance to create this gorgeous piece to pair with the Plies & Hellhounds Pandora Myth themed countdown box.
Knitting: Headband
One of the coolest things I have gotten to do to promote my book this year, has been the opportunity to travel around to local yarn stores and connect knitters in person. Knitting together and chatting is my absolute favorite part.
Knitting: Cardigan
This cardigan has been over a year in the making. Originally planned to be my fist self published sweater, it got put on the back burner when I signed my contract to write my book. But I never stopped thinking about it and I’m so happy to finally bring it to you.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I love the woven texture on my Spring Cottage Socks so much I really wanted to see it on a heavier yarn. The Sunbreak began this way, but with special details like the addition of fluffy lace weight and the delicate picot edge on the double brim, its so much more than a textured beanie.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
It’s become a little bit of a tradition to release a new staple hat for autumn every year. I really wanted to design something that was super versatile, warm, cozy and kid friendly. My little guys are sensitive to any kind of itch and I love rustic yarns. So the Sugarhouse has a SUPER soft suri held double lining. Sugarhouse is sure to be a fal...
Knitting: Vest
Knitters love layering. When I designed the High Tide Shell, I wanted to create a vest that was perfect for putting over a base layer and under a jacket for walks on the beach to keep your core toasty, without bunched up, too-tight sleeves. This super versitile shell is easily customized to suit your lifestyle and look. Use all scraps for the u...
Knitting: Throw
The Culmination Blanket allows you to blend yarn scraps and to play with colour like you would with fabric in a scrap quilt. With its large gauge, the worsted weight piece knits up much faster than a traditional scrap blanket without becoming cumbersome since you work it one square at a time. You can use this pattern as a formula to make it wor...
Knitting: Slippers, Ankle Sock
This is my second pair of slippers in beautiful Pishkun by the Farmers Daughter Fibers (the first being my Red Cedar Slippers) and its for good reason! This beautiful pillowy soft wool makes a lovely pair of thick socks or slippers that are light and next-to-skin-soft.
Knitting: Pullover
Vespertine is the designer Lindsey Fowler’s take on a striped sweater with layered textures and an easy fit. The fit is casual with a split hem and relaxed sleeves. The textured stripes create the opportunity to play with colour. The broken rib texture used for the majority of the sweater is a 3 x 1 ribbing with a purl detail. The two colour st...

For years I’ve been promising my perfect recipe for a vanilla sock in self striping and here she is! Finally! Welcome to the Simple Shortbread Socks.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Life has a funny way of sometimes putting you in the same place at the same time as someone else on a different path. Friendship can happen, connections can happen and sometimes art happens. The cables and paths on this cap turn, weave, twist and cross just like the paths we take in life.

I love trees. I could wax poetic about the thought behind this pattern, but honestly I just love fir trees. And I know I’m not alone in this. They smell good, they are majestic and they stay green and lovely all year.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This holiday season, I was excited to collaborate with Robin of Birch Hollow Fibers on a special seasonal sock pattern. I love releasing a pattern this time of year. Socks are the perfect cast on for family gatherings and knitting by a candlelight, christmas lights or firelight.

The small but mighty Cape Meares Lighthouse was built on the cliffs of the Oregon Coast in 1889. Despite only standing at 38 feet high, the light can be seen 21 miles out to sea because of its perch and Parisian crafted lens. It’s charming, classic and a complete workhorse, just like this cowl.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
For a pair of spring socks I was inspired by baskets of fresh flowers and reading outside, under a beautiful blossoming tree. These socks are too cute to hide, so I included details like the eyelet transitions and bobble cast-on that are perfect for showing off in clogs, sandals or sticking out of boots.
Knitting: Ankle Sock
When I designed this bobble sock cast on I knew it would be perfect on a pair of short socks. The lattice inspired lace looks lovely in a pair of sandals or on their own for a picnic under the blossoms.

As we wind down the winter season, I wanted to create one last pair of patterns. Taking inspiration from the last throes of winter and first blooms of spring, I also wanted these to be timeless and stash friendly. They also have addicting colorwork that makes these DK socks knit up very fast, so you can get it on your feet before the snow melts.

As we wind down the winter season, I wanted to create one last pair of patterns. Taking inspiration from the last throes of winter and first blooms of spring, I also wanted this hat to be timeless and stash friendly. It also has addicting colorwork that makes this hat knit up very fast, so you can get it on your head before the snow melts.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
The Snowquill Hat was inspired by the last enduring leaves that hang on all through winter. In a way last year we were all just hanging on as the wind whipped us around. I wanted to create a crown of winter leaves to wear with pride. Suited for hiking or lounging fireside, the Snowquill is a quick, single skein hat that is perfect for gifting o...

This past year a lot of the traditions of being together had to be put on hold, so we had to find different ways to feel festive and rooted. One of my favorite ways is through family recipes and comfort foods. Unique flavors and seasonings that make your family’s fare special.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Advent kits can be challenging to design for, but this shawl flowed out of my brain so naturally it felt like fate! Luminaria was originally designed to be included in the 2020 Woolberry mini advent, and I tried to incorporate my style and Bethany’s vibe in this cozy, casual piece. The pattern becomes very intuitive as you work, and the creativ...

I’m hope you aren’t tired of sock set patterns! Because I love them and I’m always trying to challenge myself to find a new application for these sets. And this time it’s a hat! My High Desert Socks have become a go to knit for me and many others because it is quick, classic, stash friendly and sized for all. I knew I needed to do a hat with the same qualities. As its name suggests, this hat (like my high desert socks) use two strands held together to create a squishy marl that makes color mixing and matching effortles...
Knitting: Slippers
These slippers were designed to be the ultimate cabin sock for morning coffee drinking and late night games by the fireplace. The snug double cuff serves to keep the slipper firmly in place, capping off the simple fitted foot construction. Pishkun is the perfect yarn for this slipper, offering a rustic look with pillowy softness.

The Western Red Cedar is one of the most prevalent tree species in my native home state of Oregon. The scientific name Thuja plicata literally means “folded in plaits” or “braided,” referencing the braid-like pattern on each of

This is a special pattern to me. The design was inspired by the smell and feeling when I fly into Portland and walk out of the airport for christmas with my family. Pine, dampness and just enough chill for some wet snow, its unmistakable and gives me that feeling of home.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
I’m excited to bring you the next installment in my self appointed challenge to come up with new ways to use sock sets and scraps. The Little Wilderness Socks have been brewing on my needles for years, and I’m so happy to see them bloom this spring.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
One of the most peaceful times of the week for me is the late afternoon, when my kids are about to wake up from their nap and the sun comes through the west facing windows in my home. It makes all my plants glowy and happy and the old wood frame windows paint lines on the walls. Everything (even when there are toys everywhere and unwashed dishe...

When I was designing High Desert, I wanted to create my perfect boot sock for the whole family. Not only did I want it to be sized to fit my boys and my husband, but I wanted it to be a great stash buster. This sock utilizes finger held double. The marling makes it extremely versatile and you will have so much fun mix, matching and marling to u...

Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Night Walk was my vision of a classic boot sock with a twist. My latest project is to design as many patterns as I can that feature a sock set (a 100g skein of fingering with one or two 20g mini skeins). This is the first of many of those patterns. This sock was inspired by a starry sky and crisp night walks. They are perfect for wearing inside...

Marionberry syrup. If you pass through the pacific northwest and find yourself in a breakfast spot that has it, smother your pancakes in this rich purple gift and find your life changed. That feeling of breakfast bliss is what I wanted to capture in this cowl. Whether you are knitting it for yourself or a knitworthy loved one, I hope it brings ...
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Socks symbolize comfort in so many ways and have quickly become so much more to me than just a way to keep my feet toasty. I love the flow of a top down sock. Starting with a cuff to warm up, knitting through a leg to get the rhythm, taking a little break with the heel flap, followed by the magic of a heel turn and gusset, on the downhill with ...
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Lately on Saturday mornings, I like to take the boys for a walk and let them decide what direction we go. The design of this sock was my attempt to capture the blissful feeling of taking a walk for the sake of wandering. No destination, just getting outside, taking in the fresh air and getting lost on purpose.

“Do not make yourself uneasy, my love. Wherever you and Jane are known you must be respected and valued; and you will not appear to less advantage for having a couple of—or I may say, three—very silly sisters.”
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This pattern came to pass on my recent trip home to visit family. We spent 5 days at the coast in a sleepy town taking in ocean views and taking full advantage of the lazy pace. I had picked up a sock set as a souvenir that reminded me of the wild ocean and foggy marine layer that hovered over the bay for the extent of our stay. I wanted a simp...
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This is a top down sock pattern that uses a combination of organic cables and texture to create a striking look for any angle (that side profile!!). It’s planned with a heel flap and gusset, but you can easily sub in your favorite heel style to fit your foot. I prefer knitting these with 9” circulars, but the pattern is written with magic loop ...
