A tail I designed for my daughter - she wanted a TAIL (NOT a skirt that looked like a tail) - with a closed bottom like a tail.

When my girls were little, they REFUSED to wear socks in the winter. My oldest insisted on wearing her ballet shoes instead. So I came up with this compromise.

I had seen similar little critters online, but when my oldest was nervous to go back to school one summer, I decided to make up my own little “fella” for her to keep in her pocket.

Inspired by the hat that Mei wears in “Turning Red.” Plus, it didn’t hurt that being born in Canada, I wanted something cute to celebrate my heritage - particularly at hockey games.

Designed to go with an adorable Nativity Scene I crocheted. But so cute on its own or with any other amigurumi toys. Add eyes, and your little tree can have a personality of its own!

A friend of mine had kept a vintage crocheted “pooping duck” that her Grandmother had made for all her grandkids when they were young. As a young mom herself now, her kids all loved the duck.
