I was so pleased with SCOTUS’ decision to legalize gay marriage, that I knit myself a rainbow. Thus the “Love Wins Wrap” was born.

This pattern came to mind a good two years ago. I knit the sample, created the charts, and started working on the written directions. Then, the Memorial Day before last, our house burned. The boys were out with me, Hubby was in the pool, and the dog came when called. We were all fine.

A member of our church’s Comfort Crafts group (think Prayer shawls with more diversity) asked me if I had a simple shawl pattern that could be knit on straight needles. This is what I came up with.
