As my partner travels the Southwestern US and into Mexico, I’m at the receiving end of some truly glorious pictures. The massive elevation changes and landscapes ranging from desert to dense green forests, the inspiration bug had bit and thus, this hat had to be knit.

When I first was learning how to knit, I stockpiled acrylic yarn. Not knowing exactly what project I should cast on first or how my colors might end up, I decided I needed reusable bags.
