Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I love being out in nature especially in the woods. In my childhood we would always go to our local nature center which had short trails around the facility where you would be able to find all sorts of different types of trees, mushrooms and best of all wild flowers. Lady slippers were one of my favorite and last year on a hike we came across t...
Knitting: Cowl
With the colder weather upon us I wanted to create something simple that could be warn throughout the day to keep warm. This cowl was created with a sock weight or fingering weight yarn because I wanted something light and so it would not feel stuffy and I created a larger circle so that it would not feel binding. I called with the Hoot Cowl be...

I planted Moon Flowers this summer in my garden which was the inspiration to the center back panel of this stole. I created this pattern using a combinations of stitches. For the center circle section on the back of the shawl I created a lacy doily pattern that has eight sections. This shawl is worded in three parts. The side panels of this sto...

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I created this pattern using a combinations of stitches. For the tree section on the back of the shawl I wanted to create an image of an old tree with large roots and a canopy of branches. I also incorporated Miyuki 8 mix Peacock Garden beads but again you can choose you own colorway of beads to match your yarn or not even incorporate the beads in your work. I added the beads to this ...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I was inspired to design this shawl because of the beautiful pale jade green yarn that I had. I have always loved this color and have been captivated on my walks on the beach when I find this green sea glass. The stitch patterns that I used include the Quatrefoil with stones Pattern from the book “The Haapusalu Shawl” and the
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The inspiration for this shawl was a peacock that is housed in a local botanical garden. I just fell in love with the colors and the flow of the tail feathers. I used a wool/silk blend lace yarn which I felt was perfect to capture the feel and movement of feathers.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This pattern is a square shawl design. It is worked from the top down with 4 sections worked at once. There is 8 increases every right side row and upon finishing you end up with about 498 stitches on your needles.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl was designed in a square pattern so it is like creating four triangular shawls all at once. The design pattern that was used was a slightly modified Estonian lace design of Water Lilies. I used a lace weight yarn which was the Malabrigo Lace in a Colorway of Piedras. This shawl would work up well with any lace weight yarn. The gauge ...

This pattern was created with Knit Picks Alpaca Cloud Midnight Heather. It is a Lace weight yarn and I used about 1300 yards to create this stole. You can make this stole larger if you choose. The pattern is made up of 8 edge stitches and 30 middle stitches. So if you would like to increase the width just increase your cast on by thirty stitches.
