Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This is a fun, fast, fingerless gloves pattern. I wanted something easy but fitted and couldn’t find something online that fit my imagination. So I made one! This is knitted flat which makes checking if it fits easy.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap, Scarf
This pattern was inspired by all the short row patterns featured on Ravelry! I want the width of a full length shawl, but not the length. I like to wear them wrapped around my neck with the ends hanging down, and the deeper shawls bunch up when I try to wear them that way.
Knitting: Scarf
I love the way that using two very different yarn sizes together always creates a visually striking effect. This scarf was inspired by a desire for a warm scarf that wasn’t really heavy. We get cold weather during the winter months, but rarely have enough cold for a full wool scarf. This light yet warm scarf turned out perfect for winter and th...
Knitting: Headband
This fall one of the prevailing trends is cables. Chunky cables and intricate cables are seen all over stores and runways. I love cables but lack the fortitude to cable an entire garment. My LYS got in this awesome chunky yarn “Lova” that has these beautiful spots of bright color among a neutral background. I combined the two and love the resul...
Knitting: Scarf
This wonderful 1 skein project is a great way to use up one odd skein you just had to have but now have no idea what to do with. The paired YOs with the decreases gives you an increasing zig and zag, but uses up very little yarn. This makes a versatile scarf that can be worn singly for fall, or one of many thin scarves for a more personalized l...
Knitting: Scarf
I have a long standing love affair with the linen stitch. I discovered it at a time in my knitting life where I was frustrated with stockinette because I couldn’t get it to actually lay flat. One of my ancient crafting encyclopedias described the linen stitch as “resembling woven cloth”. It does just that. The orderliness of the pleated ruffle ...
Knitting: Beret, Tam
This yarn came into my LYS and I had to buy it and make something. The pricetag ensured I only wanted to buy 1 skein. The piercing clarity of colors present in all the colorways made me want to spotlight every one. So I went to a simple textured pattern that highlights the yarn while making a fantastic overall silhouette.
Knitting: Cowl
I wanted something ultimately squishy and luxurious to knit with one skein of Twinkle Soft Chunky. This cowl just knit itself into being with only a few hours of work. The slipping stitches/cabling keeps the cowl from being boring while knitting.
Knitting: Cowl
We all love scarves, but occasionally the bulkyness of them ruins the line of my nice winter jacket. I made this cowl to button up and look classy and keep my neck warm without all the bulk!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap, Scarf
This is a wonderful one skein project for that luxury ball of yarn. I didn’t even finish an entire ball. A perfect wrap for summer that is weightless but great for those cool evenings. Pattern is charted and easily adapted for larger sizes, just do more repeats.
Knitting: Scarf
This Kerchief pattern is a basic increase with a simple but elegant Star Stitch for a nice contrast. This can easily be made larger by continuing the pattern. A fun accessory for summer, the cotton really breathes nicely, and the mercerized aspect gives it a nice shine. No pun intended!
Knitting: Headband
I wanted a pretty little knit that would keep ears warm without destroying my hairstyle! Worked with one skein of Mini Mochi, the graduations of color are a treat to the eye, while the yarn is a treat for your ears!
Knitting: Scarf
I had one skein of this beautiful golden orange color and nothing to do with it! Neckerchiefs are coming back with a vengeance, and have the added benefit of keeping my neck/upper chest warm when I feel a little cold. The lace details are simple enough not to be lost in the specks of color, and liven up the stockinette.
Knitting: Scarf
I needed a light summer scarf that wouldn’t be too warm. This wonderful little scarf was inspired by the pictures of the Phiaro Scarf.
Knitting: Scarf
I’ve always found finishing work to be depressing. The item is finished, except now you have to pick up a million stitches for only a handful of rows…not with this scarf! This scarf is knitted entirely in one piece. There is no picking up the edging after you’re done, it is all done at the same time.
