Most pumpkin hats are sized for children. This hat features a jack-o-lantern face and is sized for adults. The original was made with 1 skein Peace Fleece Worsted in Glastnost Gold, 1/4 skein of Shaba (green), and 1/4 skein Ancient Fern (brown), though any worsted weight in colors you like will work.

Snug-fitting hat with cable braid edge worked flat, then stitches picked up for body of hat. Button tab closure. Pattern written for M/L size (22 inch head), but recipe given to adjust sizing, so can be made for child to large-headed adult.

A simple cabled beanie. Original is made with one skein of Christopher Sheep Farm Two-Ply, but should work with any worsted - Peace Fleece Worsted has been tested and works well.
