Knitting: Pullover
This sweater uses two different stitch patterns (Broken Seed and Interrupted Stockinette) arranged in large blocks. Although this pattern is for a crewneck pullover, it can be adapted easily to any gauge, size or style.
Knitting: Pullover
This is a fun, stylish sweater for girls. I made one in a solid color for one granddaughter, and one using 3 colors for another granddaughter. You could also do a solid color with just contrasting trim. One skein of yarn is enough for the trim (edges, front and back center stripes, and neckband. Then you would need 3 of each of the other colors...
Knitting: Child Doll (American Girl, Sasha, etc)
This is a doll-size version of my Tie-Front Shrug for girls (also available in my Revelry store) so you can make “mother-daughter” sweaters. It uses the same yarn but smaller needles and is scaled proportionately for an 18” doll.
Knitting: Child Doll (American Girl, Sasha, etc)
This pattern is a doll-size version of my Lacy-sleeved Pullover for Girls (also available in my Ravelry store) so you can make “mother and daughter” sweaters. It uses the same yarn but smaller needles, so it is proportioned for an 18” doll. It also has a Velcro closure down the back, because the doll’s head is so large compared to her body.
Knitting: Poncho
This is a fun pattern to work - you cast on all the stitches needed for the bottom, and decrease every other row to the top. It can be made in two flat pieces (so there are arm seams) with either a fringed bottom or a ruffled edge. It can also be done on a circular needle.
Knitting: Child Doll (American Girl, Sasha, etc)
This poncho is a copy of my Fun Poncho for Girls - 2 Ways (which is also available in my Ravelry store), so you can make “mother and daughter” ponchos. The doll is proportioned very differently than a human girl (big head, very thick body), so it was necessary to do a little shaping of the arm edge while the one for girls is straight.
Knitting: Child Doll (American Girl, Sasha, etc)
This is a fun pattern - the front and back are all one piece, and the sleeves are worked top to bottom after picking up stitches along edge of front/back. It’s a nice way to use up leftover yarns you have lying around. You’ll need around 90 yards of MC and just 10 or so of your contrasting color.
Knitting: Cardigan
I have made this fun shrug for all my granddaughters, and they love it. I recently made the beaded version for one granddaughter’s 13th birthday, and she thought it was very “glam”. The ribbed edging around the fronts is a bit of a pain, but it’s only 7 rows (except for the stitches that become the ties). You could eliminate the knitted ties by...
Knitting: Pullover
When my grandson was about 3 he was completely enthralled with trash trucks, so I designed this sweater for him and he loved it. I think it appeals to a rather limited age span, so I wrote instructions for only 3-4 and 5-6 years. But the design could be used on anything flat.
Knitting: Pullover
I designed this for my grandson who loves all things having to do with lobsters. There are two choices for the design: a larger lobster complete with legs and “feelers” and a smaller one more suitable for infant and tiny tot sizes. I’ve included a chart for a small lobster buoy which I put on one sleeve. A friend of mine made a matching hat and...
Knitting: Pullover
I designed this sweater for my grandson who loves to go downhill FAST on a mountain bike or skis. I made this for his 7th birthday, and he loves it! I included a chart for a small bicycle pump which is put on one sleeve just above the wrist. It could also go high up, centered on the back. The sweater is a simple, square roll-hem style, but the ...
Knitting: Pullover
I designed this sweater for my granddaughter, Jane, who is ALWAYS hot - even in the winter. I thought she might appreciate the lacy sleeves - air can pass through them. It has a square neck, loose 3/4 set-in sleeves and falls at high hip. The bottom edge and neck are edged with a knitted picot edging.
Knitting: Pullover
This “dressy” sweater can be made with either short sleeves or three-quarter sleeves. It is designed to fit closely (like a T-shirt). It falls at high hip.
