Knitting: Placemat
I love fabric placemats. They are informal enough to use every day and still super stylish for when I have guests. Linen stitch gives the fabric just enough firmness to be perfect for its use and the rustic colours of the yarn add extra charm.
Knitting: Beret, Tam
There are many patterns for brioche stitch hats, but I have not found one that was worked from the top-down. Therefore I decided to write my own.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
Golden Fleece are fingerless mittens knitted in garter stitch.
Knitting: Scarf
Forty-four is a simple, classic scarf.
Knitting: Scarf
Synfonie is a garter stitch scarf in three colours. This is an extremely simple pattern, perfectly suitable for a beginner’s first project. Still, it is so beautiful, both elegant and understated, that even an experienced knitter will appreciate the final object. It is a extremely fast knit and hence a very good pattern for gifts.
Knitting: Beret, Tam
This is the first tam I’ve knitted. I claim it is the easiest tam to knit, simply perfect for beginners. It is also a good basis for more complex tams, simply add: colourwork, cables, lace… your imagination is the limit.
Knitting: Cowl
Stoneleaves is a Möbius (also written Moebius) cowl done in the round. It is long enough to wrap around the neck twice. Instructions as given require one single skein of yarn, but the pattern is easily extended if you wish to make a wider cowl.
