Sapling is an easy knit with a unique, decorative slipped stitch details. The band on the yoke, and optionally on the sleeves as well, look like woven fabric, but is easily created with a two-row slipped stitch pattern. Inspired by the traditional woven paper hearts that have adorned homes during the Holidays, these entrelac hearts are a softer version of the old classic.

High up on a hilltop, the landscape stretches as far as the eye can see, birds swoop up and down and the wind kisses your face. In December 2015 I participated in an advent calendar swap. Send out six 5g miniskeins to four people and get 24 miniskeins yourself. I wanted to use up as much as I could of the skeins I got, so I came up with these striped knee-high socks. They are toe-up socks, with an afterthought heel and a twisted rib cuff.
