Knitting: Cardigan
Hedgehog Fibres Tweedy yarn is a lovely, warm yarn with colourful recycled wool bits and it now comes in several colours including my favorite colour purple. I wanted to make a simple cardigan with this yarn that you can put on once weather gets colder, a perfect layering piece.
Knitting: Tee
This tee is my version of the summer tee for the 2024 “camp” retreat hosted by LYS Vlněné sestry from Brno, Czech Republic.
Knitting: Pullover
This sweater is a collaboration between Pipa Knits patterns and Vlněné Sestry, a LYS in Brno, Czech Republic. It’s a simple raglan sweater with short row shaped neck in worsted weight yarn. It is intended as a sweater for beginners who have never made a sweater before.
Crochet: Cowl
Advent-urous Crochet Cowl is the crochet version of my 2019 advent pattern Advent-urous cowl. It is designed specially for Advent calendar mini skeins, but it can easily be made with leftovers or even in single colour.
Knitting: Skirt
Warm, knitted skirts combined with cotton leggings are my absolute favourite comfy cold weather clothes. I am not a big fan of pencil skirts, as I do not find them very flattering on me, so I came up with the idea of knitted semi-circular skirt, which is a very feminine and flattering shape on many different body types.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Winter Nights is a shawl designed specially for advent calendar mini skeins. The pattern is quite simple, with alternating garter stitch and broken rib sections, which makes it suitable for many different types of wooly calendars. You are not limited by yarn weight or number of minis in your set, the pattern will work for all of them! You can a...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
First ever Czech MKAL in collaboration with LYS Vlněné sestry in Brno, Czech Republic. :-)
Knitting: Scarf
No Purl Advent is an infinity scarf designed specially for advent calendar mini skeins and stress-free pre-Christmas knitting. The pattern is incredibly versatile and infinitely customizable. You can work at any gauge with any weight of yarn and make as many triangular modules as you want.
Knitting: Headband
Colourful Geometry is my favourite pattern and I am still not done with patterns for colourful triangles. For this headband I used leftover mini skeins from the Colourful Geometry Sweater. I paired it with Filcolana Anina, which is 100 % merino yarn suitable for babies, so it is wonderfully soft on your ears.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Light Rain is a one skein shawl with wide wingspan, lace, beads and knitted-on border. It uses exactly one skein of 400 m (437 yards) of fingering weight silk blend yarn. I used speckled yarn with beads matching those speckles, but solids or even gradients will work just as well.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
When cold weather hits you sometimes find yourself in need of something quick to make to keep your ears warm.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Day and Night is a shawl pattern designed for two single skeins. The design will work with all kinds of colours - solid, speckled, variegated, anything you like! You can choose wildly contrasting colours or coordinating colours, anything goes!
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
I love wearing mitts, especially for driving, but also outdoors when winter is mild (most of the times here). My husband never saw the point of them, he only ever wore leather gloves when it was really cold. So when he one day asked for a pair, I sat down and designed a pair of unisex mitts for him to wear straight away.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Made in a timeless combination of stripes and lace in shiny merino/silk combination, this large DK weight triangular shawl is the perfect keep-me-warm item.
Knitting: Pullover
This sweater is a collaboration between Pipa Knits patterns and Vlnene Sestry, A LYS in Brno, Czech Republic.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Unchained Socks are a fun pattern for 3 sock yarns in contrasting colours. The single colour sole and mosaic instep are worked separately (NO intarsia!) and they are much easier to work than they look.
Knitting: Pullover
Colourful Geometry Sweater is next in my series of textured patterns featuring mini skeins.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves, Beanie, Toque
The stretchy texture is created using a cable needle, but there are no stitches crossed. Thanks to the stretchiness of the pattern, the hat and handwarmers will fit a wide range of sizes.
Knitting: Cowl
Advent-urous cowl DK is designed specially for Advent calendar mini skeins, but it can easily be made with leftovers or just two alternating colours.
Knitting: Cowl
Advent-urous cowl is designed specially for Advent calendar mini skeins, but it can easily be made with leftovers or just two alternating colours.
Knitting: Sleeveless Top
Yellow Ivy is a summer top designed for plant-based yarns. You will start by making the two lace panels first with raglan-style increases. Both are then joined for knitting in the round of the simple, A-shaped, stockinette stitch body. Straps are worked last by picking up stitches along the lace panels and underarms, making the project complete...
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
These lace socks are inspired by a vintage photograph from my mum’s collection of knitting patterns from the 1970s.
Knitting: Cowl
Colourful Geometry Loop is a bias-knit infinity scarf designed specially for Advent calendar mini skeins, but it can easily be made with leftovers or just one or two colours. It’s a relaxing knit/purl textured pattern, perfect for sitting down for half an hour each day for a bit of knitting self-care. At the end of advent you will be ready to w...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Sisi is an asymmetrical triangle shawlette with an interesting mosaic block that is easily worked with only one colour per row. You will work the mosaic pattern gradually along with stripes. An optional short row edging is worked at the end in the second colour.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Unchained Melody is a shawl pattern designed to showcase two contrasting colourways together. I used two semi-solids for my shawl, but the pattern will also work well with a wildly variegated or speckled colour A, which can be tamed with a solid colour B.
Knitting: Ankle Sock
Secret of a Summer Night is my contribution to the Progress, Hope, and Happiness 2018 Collection. This year’s theme is Women & Water. I translated the theme into a feminine pair of socks with a wavy lace pattern.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Some yarns and patterns are just made for each other. This pattern has literally been made for this colourful skein of hand dyed yarn + solid mini skein to maximize the use of both yarns. The modified bamboo stitch adds a little bit of texture and complements the colourful yarn as well as helping to break up any potential pooling.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
I love working with mini skein sets. That means I have a lot of teeny tiny leftovers. I really wanted to use those leftovers from my Colourful Geometry wrap, so I turned the whole pattern into socks!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Date Night At The Opera is inspired by my love of Regency era romance novels. Wearing shawls is often mentioned in these books and this shawl is a tribute to what I imagine my favourite heroines wearing when they dazzle the dashing lord.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Triangular shawls are a staple in the knitting pattern directory. They are beautiful and fun to knit. But I personally find them a little difficult to style. So I played around with the idea of making a classic triangular shawl more wearable.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I love working with lace weight yarn, but most traditional lace shawls are a bit too flowery for my taste. I wanted something elegant and timeless, so No Frill Lace Shawl was born.
Knitting: Cowl
As soon as I touched this wonderful blend of baby alpaca, silk, and cashmere I knew it had to become something to wear around my neck. I only had one skein of this and wanted to use as much of it as I could, so the idea for Super Soft Spiral Cowl was born.
