This piece was requested as a commission. She simply stated she loves rats and poppies. My initial thought process led me to the wizard of oz and the natural medicinal use of poppy as a sleep aid. And I have to say, if I was a rat, I would love to curl up on a poppy and take a nap in the sunshine on a summer day. Thus, “Peaceful Poppy” was born!

Original artwork was made by my partner. Free pattern by me! :-) This pattern can be done with any size yarn and hook, just be sure all your colors are a consistent weight. I personally use acrylic #4 and a 3.5mm hook, but whatever suits your fancy!
