Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Candle wax, dripping ice cream, slime… There are a lot of different ways to see the drip design on these stranded colourwork socks! They feature corrugated ribbing at the top of the cuff, thirteen rows of two-colour stranded colourwork, and a band heel.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Inspired by Ari Astor’s wonderful movie Midsommar, the Folk Horror Socks feature a pattern of seeds and wheat partially obscured by a “bloody” design dripping down from the cuff. It’s a striking design in the original blood red, but also quite an interesting abstract effect in other colours.
Knitting: Slippers
I’m an awful planner, and I realised I needed to get Christmas presents done for my mum and her husband in just about no time flat. When sufficiently determined, I can knit a pair of these in a day.
Knitting: Cowl
Snowdrops are the first flowers of the year, getting their name from how they often start blooming while there’s still snow on the ground. These flowers might not actually resemble snowdrops that closely in shape, but they certainly look like they’ve been hanging out in the snow.
Knitting: Potholder
This quick potholder pattern is great for using up scrap yarn! It holds multiple strands of yarn together to create a dense fabric out of thin yarns.
