Note: The pdf for this pattern is 14 pages long. Mostly this is due to the fact that the sweater begins with a series of short rows that need to be described in detail, row by row. However the difficulty level of this sweater is an intermediate level (it’s really not that hard)!

This semi-circular shawl is worked from the center top down. Bands of Stockinette and a simple lace pattern are separated out by rows of Vikkel Braids and finished off with a picot bind off. It will be draped over your shoulders with warmth and beauty.

Ninian is a simple and versatile sweater knit in laceweight yarn and featuring a well known Shetland lace pattern. It is worked from the bottom up in one piece separating at the underarms to work the back and front flat. Stitches are then picked up from the armhole and short rows are used to shape the sleeve cap.
