Cheerful, colourful and playful. This is definitely one of my favorite baby blanket patterns! Not to mention a great way to get rid of all those scrap yarns! This one is the original 2-colored version of the Swirl Baby Blanket Pattern.

I always wanted to make a Water Lily blanket and I actually crocheted this some time ago. I made some improvements to it as time went by and now I finally decided to write down the pattern. I’m not saying that this is the most practical blanket to have around but it is beautiful!

This pattern is quite long (12 pages), but don’t be scared: there’s a lot of photos. I wouldn’t recommend this pattern if you’re in a hurry though. It’s easy enough to crochet once you get going but it does take some time. Pattern can be easily modified to different yarns and sizes.

This pattern is quite easy once you get a grasp of it (especially if you know how to crochet a granny square) but it is long when written down. Don’t be scared. :) There’s also a lot of photos.

This baby blanket size takes up about 15 oz / 420 g of yarn. You can use the pattern to make bigger blankets too.

You will also need some reflective yarn.
