This pattern was designed for a wool special at The Knitter’s Edge where I work. You could substitute any chunky weight wool.

This is a cute headband made of recycled cotton yarn. The pattern is written to be tied in the back but it could easily be modified to be joined instead.

If you’ve wanted to try a cowl, this is a quick, easy one to start with. It’s a pleasing combination of garter and stockinette stitch.
