Knitting: Pullover
This is my fourth fairisle-type sweater design, and the first that I have managed to write down clearly enough to make it into a pattern!
Knitting: Pullover
I knitted this sweater in a bright lime green unbranded double knitting yarn - hence the name ‘virid’ which means green.
Knitting: Vest
Diamond Geezer is a basic V-neck tank-top pattern, jazzed up with diamond pattened panels worked in knit and purl stitches. For each size, the diamond panels are positioned central to the shoulders. What’s extra-lovely about it is that it takes only a single 400g ball of aran yarn - result!
Knitting: Pullover
This pattern requires a 12mm circular knitting needle - but there’s no option for that in the drop-down menu!
Knitting: Tee
This design really came about because I had three balls of different coloured yarn and I wanted to knit a light top (pref without running out of wool at a critical moment) - and it worked! A simple top with subtle waist shaping for a flattering fit.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves, Cowl
I’ve developed an ahem minor obsession with fairisley-norwegiany patterns and while messing about over the Jubilee weekend, this not-very-Royal pattern emerged.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
My first adventures in fairisle! This is the first time I’ve written up a fairisle pattern, so please forgive me any mistakes or confusion :)
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
A luxuriously soft wrap, perfect for summer nights or spring weddings. Knitted in one piece and seamed to give the appearance of a button-up wrap, and finished with three oversized wooden buttons.
Knitting: Cardigan
Because of the drop-stitches making up the bulk of this little cardie, it doesn’t use much yarn - only 3 balls of Rowan cotton rope but since that’s discontinued you could use any aran weight cotton yarn.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
I don’t know about you, but I prefer to use a knit stitch when I’m knitting in the round, rather than purl. So in order to get the purl texture without the purl pain, these gloves are knitted in the round, but inside-out, so you can knit away happily and then have the satisfaction of turning them the right way out at the end and seeing what you...
Knitting: Beret, Tam
A super chunky, quick-knit slouchy cabled beret. This is knit in the round from ribbed brim to top.
Knitting: Electronics Cozy
Great for a gift, a simple stash buster. Less than one skein (less than half a skein to be honest)
Knitting: Shrug / Bolero
This cardigan is designed to cleverly disguise itself as a ponchette - It uses four buttons on one side so you can either button it up as a poncho, or leave it slightly open in a fashionable asymmetrical look. You can also button the two ends together higher up for a cropped cardigan.
Knitting: Pullover
A top-down short sleeved sweater with a mesh-stitch cowl neck. The cowl neck is picked up and knitted after the main body.
Knitting: Cardigan
A long cardigan knitted in drop stitch throughout, it has bell sleeves and a long v-neck. Fastens with a single button.
Knitting: Cardigan
Instructions will make a garment to fit UK 10-14 US 6-10 - It is a ONE SIZE PATTERN.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Knitting pattern for a modern but classic aran shawl. The pattern produces a triangular shawl, large enough to wrap around yourself, and you can use any aran-weight yarn to make it!
Knitting: Shrug / Bolero
A downloadable knitting pattern for this pretty and delicate cotton shrug. Uses a really REALLY easy lace pattern that produces a beautiful piece of clothing you’ll be able to knit again and again.
