This pattern can be made using any yarn and hook, only you will need to tailor the pattern to fit. You can do this by taking your yarn and whatever size hook you have (I would suggest keeping your hook between 4.00 and 5.50 mm) and begin by making your row of chains (the pattern calls for 85 ch), then wrap this string of chains around your head...

I was inspired to make this Santa Girl from a photo I saw online. The pattern describes how to make the doll’s hair either; as is (after sewing yarn into her head, left un-styled)...

You can make this pattern using any size needle, your Dobby will simply be either larger or smaller. I made two Dobbys, one using a 3.75mm steel hook and the other using a 4.00mm, both of which were photographed, photos included in the pattern instruction.

This pattern includes three variations for the creature creations; a bunny, a sailor duck and a monkey in the middle!!
