Ravine. This pattern was written to have these little ravines of dropped stitches, as I was knitting along though I found that the texture of the garter and stockinette stitches was quite gorgeous. Soot & Cinders is a unique take on the traditional top-down triangle. Starting with a very, very long garter tab and then just moving on over to working the traditional triangle shawl increases with some simple garter and lace sections.

Joy likes long walks on the beach and the smell of hair after it’s been washed. The original sample was knit using ANGORA which made me get a bit strange while I was knitting it. It is just such a soft amazingly… soft yarn. I don’t think there are other descriptors for it really even. It was just me going “soft… soft… soft… kittens… soft” while...

It’s cold in December! Big squishy, lovely quick hats are a must! Especially as last minute high-speed knitted gifts!

Lanterns. We light them to help see in the dark. I wanted to name this shawl something to remind myself to see the light in the dark winter months.
