“In Volo” (“In Flight”) is an asymmetric triangular shawl worked sideways. It features easy lacy motifs and cables.

“Ninfea Stellata” is the Italian name of the Nymphaea Nouchali, a beautiful water lily.

The “Lady in Gold” shawl is inspired by Klimt’s painting “Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I”.

The “In Giardino” shawl is knitted sideways, it has a crescent shape made with short rows. This shawl features easy lacy motifs.

“Fiori Incantati” is the Italian for “Spellbound Flowers”. The Fiori Incantati Cowl is worked back and forth, it is composed by four sections worked in brioche stitch and four narrow sections which feature lacy floral motifs. The cowl starts with a provisional cast on, and the sts are grafted.

“Dieci Anni” is the Italian for “Ten Years”.

This is the design we have knit on our second RAL - KAL (Read Along / Knit Along) at in tiziana’s corner, a shawl inspired by the book “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”, by Douglas Adams. :-))

Some members of in tiziana’s corner group had the idea of a read-along/knit-along: the idea was to knit together the same pattern while reading a book related to the design.

It begins at the smallest corner, the upper portion represents spring with graceful, meandering branches and blooming flowers. Angus is the name of the Celtic god of youth , beauty and love but, more related to this shawlette it is also the name of the handsome cat living with one of the two very talented knitters who did test knit this design. As soon as Angus saw it finished , he took possession of it, clearly stating “ This is MINE !” .

This shawlette is worked bottom up, it features leaves worked in stockinette stitch on a reverse stockinette stitch ground, and a lace pattern which reminds of blossoms.

I designed this semicircular shawlette for my very dear friend Kristina , it features heart shaped nupps and motifs of flowers.
