Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
I love this pattern for an interesting, yet easy pattern to knit. It is functional with the garter ridges in the right side which will make it a good scrubbing cloth. I can’t decide whether I like it better for a dishcloth or a washcloth. Great for both.

Notes: All but the brim of the hat is worked back and forth as a flat piece of work. It is then folded in half width-wise. The sides are then seamed together forming the square envelope shape. A circular needle is used to pick up the loose stitches from the waste yarn and from the provisional cast-on in order to knit the ribbed brim.

Notes: I designed this hat with the new knitter in mind. By starting the brim on straight needles in garter stitch, it is possible to custom fit the hat for the intended wearer right from the beginning.
