This is a simple sock pattern that uses twisted stitches to create an embossed diamond effect that travels up the front of your socks for a little extra something to spice up your vanilla socks!

This pattern was created because I was looking for a simple cable pattern that would fit the yarn and colours I was working with that would also showcase how great the stitch definition of this yarn really is. As it knit up, it had me reminiscing about autumn walks and drives through paths of rich colours, which is how these socks got their name.

I made these socks off the cuff (pardon the pun!). I began knitting them, creating the diagonal purls as I knit on, and decided to see how it worked out.
