This is a simple recipe for a Moebius Cowl made using Cat Bordhi’s magical moebius cast on. The cowl can be made larger or smaller by changing the number of stitches cast on. Two skeins of Cascade’s 128 Superwash makes a lovely, wide and long cowl.

These fingerless mitts are designed to match our Amish Country Beanie. The scallop pattern at the cuff was modeled after the cuff of a pair of late 19th century/early 20th century Amish Wedding Socks from the Lancaster County area.

This shawlette is a simple stockinette triangle. It begins with a garter tab cast on and then is worked in stockinette stitch increasing 6 sts every 2 rows. A garter stitch border gives it weight and prevents rolling. It grows rapidly and showcases the dramatic color changes in this gradient dyed yarn.

Threshing Floor is a plain and fancy sock. From the front, it looks like a simple stockinette sock. The back features a cable from cuff to heel--fancy!

The Covered Bridge Cowl is a chunky, easy to make and easy to wear cowl. One skein of giant yarn, one set of BIG OL’ needles and a couple of hours of seed stitch and you’ve got a cozy cowl. Wear it in one big loop or doubled or tripled--this is a nice long cowl.

This scarf can be knit with one fewer lace pattern repeats for a narrower scarf or lengthened with the addition of 12 row repeats.

Be sure to reserve enough yarn for your bind off! Your gauge may vary--some knitters are finding they need nearly 4 yards of yarn to bind off cowls knit on US #13 needles. happy knitting!

This is a great pattern for learning the basics of Fair Isle technique with an easy to memorize (and see) pattern. It is a very simple hat, so you can really work on your strategies for keeping the tension even. This hat can be re-sized for a child by decreasing 12 sts at the cast on.
