Knitting: Coat / Jacket, Cardigan
Our baby marbled hoodie pattern has proved so popular and we were being asked for children’s sizes so the whole family could have one. The hood features the textured pattern and a ribbed band for a good fit. We used James Brett Marble for our hoodie but you could use any chunky yarn which gets you the same tension /gauge.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
The Hot Cocoa hat was actually a swatch and a bit of a play around with stitch patterns. This resulted in a hat with a shaped, short row brim, which then needed a matching cowl and eventually a waistcoat/vest.
Knitting: Cowl
The Hot Cocoa Cowl matches the Hot Cocoa Hat and was made using a chunky/bulky weight yarn and 5mm & 6.5mm needles.

Knitting: Scarf, Cowl
I was so impressed with Lanas Stop York Merino and couldn’t wait to make something with it. Messing around with stitch patterns and swatching for a larger item, I found I had pretty much made a small scarf. A simple crochet edging was attached and voila, the York Scarflette was finished.
Knitting: Cowl, Beret, Tam
I do like Rose Fabric, it’s textured, very stretchy and super warm for Winter Accessories. It’s also very easy to knit and looks interesting in a plain shade or gives a tweed appearance if knitted in more than one colour. My son calls it Faux-chet as it does look like Granny Stripes in crochet if you use more than one shade of yarn. This hat an...
Knitting: Beret, Tam, Beanie, Toque
Quick cabled slouchy hat, ready for Christmas. Used merino lace and kid silk, one strand each, high contrast colours and it worked out a nice muted shade. I’ll play around with other colour combinations. Despite being less than 25g in weight, it’s incredibly warm and so soft.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
The Rian Hat has a cute turned, picot brim. A pretty lace and cable pattern adds texture, eyelets and a feminine detail. Worked in the round, from the bottom up, Rian is easily lengthened to a slouch style or worked slightly shorter for a more beanie style cap shape. I like the almost ruffled effect where the lace and cap shaping meet.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
I have added instructions to knit the mitts in the round, so you can work flat or in the round using dpns or magic loop.
Knitting: Cowl
Rian Cowl is pretty lace and cabled cowl made in supersoft, extra fine merino. Great stitch definition and will look fabulous with your Winter coat.
Knitting: Cowl
A pretty lace and cabled cowl, worked in the round from the bottom up. The lace design itself was used in our Annabella Dress, which featured in Knit Now Magazine, hence the name.
Knitting: Cowl, Headband
A quick and easy gift for those wanting try simple cables, I didn’t use a cable needle, but you can if you prefer. The design is very easy to make and fast to knit and is a great way to learn to cable without a cable needle. Large needles and thick yarn make for a fast gift and you could choose fun colours for a teen or to match your Winter coat.

Knitting: Baby Blanket
This clever design has been designed with easy travel in mind - it has a hole in it for baby car seat belts, making it easier to keep squirmy babies warm, safe and secure. I like the idea of baby blankets but once it’s time to pop baby in the car, the blanket always ends up anywhere but on the baby. I love the idea of a strategically placed ‘ne...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
A quick and easy knit suitable for the adventurous beginner. Features picot edgings, stripes, slip stitch colourwork, garter stitch, stocking stitch and is worked flat on two needles. I have added instructions to work the hat in the round for those who don’t like seams.

This pretty tee is knitted in one piece with a clever construction (top down simultaneous sleeves by Barbara Walker) that gives the look of set-in sleeves without any fiddly seaming.

Knitting: Scarf
A friend at knitting group wanted to knit a shawl using kid silk but didn’t like the idea of working with a lace weight yarn on it’s own. I was making a sample garment with Kid Silk stranded with some Palila and showed her how pretty it looked. From then we discussed ideas and came up with three ‘Wardrobe Classics’ from one basic pattern. A sim...
Knitting: Hot Water Bottle
A simple hot water bottle cover, with ribbed collar at the top. Knitted top down, increases for the ‘shoulders’ of the bottle and stocking stitch to desired length. Finish with a rib band to either fold over, tuck in or button into place. Means you can use a larger or smaller hottie than the standard size, or adapt to fit

This sweet little baby top is a fun, quick knit in this lightweight cotton blend yarn, and it’s sized from newborn right the way up to four years old. The front features a pleated centre, it’s an easy technique though you might want a couple of dpns handy to work the ‘folds’ or pleats.
