ZouZou was a character played by Josephine Baker, a celebrated American singer/dancer/actress. The movie was French, of course both romantic and sad, which probably touched on many aspects of Josephine’s life. But she was an inspiration to many because of her incredible positive energy that reached well beyond the realm of performance, touching the lives of countless people with her amazing goodness.
ZouZou the yarn strikes us as both mysterious and energetic, both central to Josephine’s persona. So we dedicate it to her. As you knit with it, be sure to dance in your thoughts!
