These yarns are mill spun and steam set (for a balanced yarn) for us from 4 strands of the roughly 2/28NM lace weight silk that is one of our most popular yarns. This yarn retains the gorgeous colours and the truly silky feel of the lace weight but gives the extra weight needed for some garments.

Please Note: The original lace weight used to make this yarn is from a different spinner, and it feels and knits a bit finer than the other yarns in the Smooth Silk DK weight category.
