1. The twenty-eighth state to join the union. 2. The Lone Star State. 3. Located in the south-central US and known for its wide-open spaces. 4. Even the knitting is bigger in Texas.

TEXAS toasty is the new DK weight from numma numma. Soft as your favorite down comforter with a nice tight twist to minimize pilling and splitting. For bigger projects and garments - I’ve toned down the variation and cranked up the gauge.

The flavors here are my favorite tex-mex yummies. (Drop me a note if you have a flavor idea - love those!)

It can be knit into soft and squishy socks on 2.75mm (US2) needles at a gauge of around 6 sts per inch - and nice, firm but ultra-soft fabric. Or try a larger needle and get a bit more drape with the same super softness (I used 4mm, US6 for the swatches a gauge was 5 sts/in).
