We’re really excited about this yarn as it’s made from British wool, it’s spun in Yorkshire - and it’s gorgeous. The combination of superwash wool and nylon obviously makes this ideal for socks, but it would also work beautifully for hats, shawls, mittens, jumper. It’s soft enough to be comfortable next to your skin and hard wearing enough that your socks will last. It took us a long time to find this yarn, and the wait has been worth it.

The yarn is 75% British wool, 25% nylon and there are 400 meters to each 100 gram skein. The wool is 45% British Bluefaced Leicester and 30% mixed British wool.

The wool has been superwash treated so if this ends up in the washing machine on a 30 degrees centigrade cycle it won’t felt. We’ve tested this in our machine (an Indesit) with ecover detergent and colours have stayed true. Please take time to test a sample before machine washing your finished item as machines and detergents vary.
