Falkland Sock Multi is a hand-dyed yarn that will work up into unique gradients of color. Unlike the usual hand-painted yarn, the color changes will create long, random bands of color instead of short repeats. Colors will shift, barber pole and shift back again. No pooling guaranteed! Each skein is a one-of-a-kind, even when from the same dye lot. Spun at a local mill from 100% Falkland wool.

What is Falkland wool?
Falkland wool comes from sheep living in the Falkland Islands, where they have the ability to survive the harsh climates. Since there are no known sheep diseases in the Falkland Islands, thy are never dipped and never go through mulesing. This results in a humane and chemical-free fleece. (Neat!) The base breeds for Falkland wool is Corriedale, Polwarth and Dohne Merino. Micron count is around 27, resulting in a medium soft wool.
