Much of my design inspiration comes from the yarn itself. I’ll bring home a gorgeous skein of hand-dyed yarn with no idea what to do with it, and after some trial and error, I design the pattern around highlighting the features of the yarn.

The primary goal of Cold Sheep Designs is to create patterns that allow you to use up yarn that you already have. Where possible, designs are created with more than one gauge in mind.
