Amy Herzog
I think sweaters are most successful when we love wearing them, and I’d love to help you create tons of drool-worthy, successful sweaters.
I’m an author (You Can Knit That, Knit to Flatter, and Knit Wear Love, with Abrams), designer (for Rowan, Twist Collective, and more), teacher, and the creator of the CustomFit custom sweater pattern generator. CustomFit creates sweater patterns specific to your choice of gauge and size, for men, women, and kids.
I’ve been knitting since I was a little kid, but it remained a hobby while I pursued computer security research for my career until 2013, when I left the mainstream tech industry to run CustomFit full-time. For more information on my designs, please visit my blog and CustomFit.
A few important things:
- Ravelry’s PM feature is an unreliable way to get in touch with me. For faster help, please send mail to hello@amyherzogdesigns.com. Thanks!
I have two kinds of designs: traditional and CustomFit designs. They’re clearly marked in each individual pattern descriptions but here’s an overview:
-
Traditional designs are multiple-size, one-gauge, patterns like you already probably knit.
-
CustomFit designs are special patterns that are created specifically to your choice of size and gauge - from kid to adult, from fingering to bulky. Both are listed here in my Ravelry store. Click here to see a list of CustomFit designs.
I can’t wait to see what you make!
