When I was young, my left-handed mother tried to teach me how to stick-knit right-handed. The result was a lot of knots. Later when my right-handed grandmother tried to teach me, I was just further confused; she also tried to teach me how to crochet, but all I was able to hook was a single row so I gave up.
The one thing that I could do, however, was use Mom’s little 4-peg loom and I would make ‘ropes’ and then braid them together to make horse reins and lead lines.
Fast forward to the fall of 2011 and getting the gift of knitting looms. I could knit! Discovering Ravelry and the amazing loom knitting community here opened my eyes to all of the amazing knits one can create on a knitting loom. With support and encouragement from some of the most talented designers, I have started publishing patterns.
My knits tend to be straightforward and adaptable. I hope you enjoy them!
My day job is pottery. Yup. I throw things for a living. Yarn bowls are a specialty.
