I’m a fan of heavy weight yarn, with small needles my hands start to hurt very quickly.
If I use light weight yarn the needles has to be big.
I’m impatient and want fast results.

I’m from Finland, I was raised as a Swedish speaking Finn in a small village until it was time to go to school. My mother wanted me to go to a Finnish school so we moved to a bigger town. After that my upbringing has been pretty much Finn.
I get my inspiration from the sea and nature, Scandinavian mythology and sci-fi.

My grandmother from my fathers side has been a huge inspiration for me. As a kid I spent much time with her while my parent’s were at work. From a very early age I’ve been gathering mushrooms and plants for dyeing and watched her when she wove, knitted, sew and crocheted.

I designed my first gloves at age 5 and socks at age 11. The gloves are long gone, but I still have and use the socks. Of course I didn’t knit them my self, my dearest grandma did.
I entered a mittens-design competition fall 2009 with my design Heavy-mittens, it didn’t win, but it got honorary mentioned, and my granny was so proud of me.
