I’m Kathy, from Sydney Australia and I love all things crochet.

I first learned to crochet when my young daughter found a cute fruit bat online and insisted she wanted it. It was a pattern only and I didn’t crochet. Oh no!

After much negotiation and good behaviour from her, I agreed to give it a try. I almost gave up when I couldn’t make a magic ring. But it eventually turned into a bat, not a very good one but still cute.

My daughter still has the fruit bat and she takes credit for my ongoing love of crochet. Both of my daughters (now young adults) are excellent crocheters too. It’s a beautiful thing we share.
