I’m a cross-stitcher turned multi-crafter. Can’t get enough of it, not that I really have the time!

With all the ideas and patterns I want to do, I don’t think I’d have enough time if I lived to be 1000. And I’m forever finding new things to try.

I’m 29 and live in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. I spend all of my time crafting, or chasing my kittens around.

Favourite colour combination – purple/teal, purple/black, green/black
Favourite snack – anything with peanut butter in, cashews
Favourite beverage – hot chocolate
Favourite fibre – merino, but happy with anything
Do you knit, crochet, etc? – I knit, crochet, cross stitch and embroider
Favourite type of project – small things I can finish in a few days
Any allergies? – only bandaids
Pets? – two cats
What holidays do you celebrate? – Christmas mostly, but also Halloween.
How do you feel about paper vs. PDF patterns? – I’m happy with either, but I prefer having a paper copy
What type of project bag do you like best? – drawstring ones are best
What type of needles? – I prefer straights, but I need to start working with DPNs and circulars
What material do you like for your needles/hooks? – bamboo!!!
What style of stitchmarkers do you prefer? – I like ones that open
Do you have a yarn winder? Do you want one? – I don’t have one, but I really, REALLY do.
Mulled wine or egg nog? – yuck, netiher
What level knitter/crocheter are you? – I’ve only been doing both for a few years, but I’d consider myself an expert, because if I didn’t know how to do something, I’d find out.
Would you like to receive recipes? – YES
Are you a coffee drinker or a tea drinker? - I can’t stand coffee, but I enjoy the occasional cup of tea. I prefer hot chocolate though.
How do you feel about mohair? – I dislike mohair, and most overly fluffy yarns
When knitting accessories for yourself, what kind of style suits you best? – nerdy/gothy/hippy stuff
Lotions and smellies, good or bad? – I’m not so keen on these, but I do like vanilla body sprays
Candles? – Yes, I love candles
What other hobbies do you have? – I also do some occasional beading, a lot of reading, and I spend a lot of time making lists
Do you need more needles, or do you have enough? – You can never have too many needles
Do you wear earrings? What type? – Yes I do. Mostly dangly ones, and I prefer silver colours (but doesn’t need to be actual silver)
Favourite yarn brands? – Lion brand, Malabrigo, Peaches and cream, Red heart, James C Brett
Is there anything you can’t get in your country that an international spoiler might be able to get? – PEANUT BUTTER M&Ms, and strawberry twizzlers, and fluff, and red heart yarn
What is your foot size? – UK size 8
Would you enjoy “lost treasures” from antique-y stores or thrift stores? – Definitely
Things you collect – monkeys, stickers, stationary, beads, yarns, bamboo crochet hooks
Things you definitely DON’T want – coffee flavours, funfur, cherry flavours
