Hello! I’m Christa, the creative force behind the Secret Yarnery, and I’m so passionate about crochet, design, and all things yarn. Originally from Canada, I’ve been living in Nairobi, Kenya, for over two decades, where I’ve built a wonderful online community that brings yarn lovers together from all over the world. Crochet has been a part of my life since childhood, and I’ve been lucky enough to turn this lifelong hobby into a source of inspiration!

Through my YouTube channel, I love sharing tutorials, tips, and fun projects, making it easy for anyone—no matter their skill level—to jump in and enjoy crochet. My teaching style is laid-back and approachable, and I’m known for offering practical advice, guiding you through each step, colorful designs, and an infectious enthusiasm for yarn and creativity.

When I’m not crocheting, I’m enjoying life in Kenya with my family and embracing all the adventures that come with expat life.
