Welcome to my pattern store.

My hand-knitting patterns are the product of a lifetime of well-honed knitting skills and industry-level tech expertise. I aim to inspire knitters of all abilities with fresh, clever design ideas and clear, accurate guidance you can trust.

The challenges and satisfactions of ‘making’ have always interested me. My mother taught me how to knit and sew as a child, and creating something by hand from raw ‘ingredients’ has remained an abiding passion. I’ve spent many years hand-making my way through all sorts of garments, accessories and homewares.

I have also been lucky enough to spend most of my professional life in the hand-knitting sphere. During my 30-year career, I have worked with a number of leading yarn companies as a pattern writer and checker, sample knitter, hand-knitting teacher, technical editor and studio manager.

I became even better acquainted with the hand made community during the five years I owned my own knitting shop business, buying, selling, advising and teaching all things yarn related.

My skills have taken me to every side of the needles, from solving technical snafus for knitters, helping designers realise their vision, liaising with yarn makers, wrangling patterns and projects for well-known maker publications and, of course, continuing to hand knit for myself, friends and family.
