I have always been fascinated by the way that two needles and a single strand of yarn can create an infinite variety of fabrics and three-dimensional objects.

There is no end to the variety of patterns, shapes, textures and colour combinations that can be transformed into cushions, bags, cardigans and hats or just enjoyed for their own tactile beauty.

My love of knitting runs parallel to my love of searching for interesting old fabrics, haberdashery, books, art and objects – so it is not surprising that one feeds into the other. I look for inspiration for colour combinations, shapes and stitches in my ever-growing collection of sourced items and books and on my trips to galleries, museums and gardens around my home in Norfolk and beyond.
