I live on the beautiful Isle of Wight on the south coast of the UK. I was born here and haven’t moved very far away from it, although I do commute across the Solent every day to work. If you see me knitting on the catamaran please say “Hi”
I have been knitting since I was knee-high to something fairly small, and have designed my own machine-knit items over the years, but the machine is now in hibernation as full-time work is a necessity.
Small projects such as baby/toddler clothes and socks are now much easier to pick up and put down and knit on the move (I think I’ve mainly got over my reticence to knit in public).
Anyway, socks have become an obsession and I wanted to make a gift for an aunt (not an old one) who lives in her Crocs. So therefore my first design - the Scallop Clog Sock.
