I have been knitting since I can remember. Perhaps my Scottish heritage has something to do with the fact that my fingers are nimble and itching to be in constant contact with yarn. Most of my spare moments are taken up with some aspect of knitting-- If I am not actually knitting I am usually reading about knitting, sketching, making little swatches of different stitches and fibers, and hanging out at Oklahoma City’s wonderful local knit shop, wandering about through all the promising skeins of yarn envisioning what project will be my next one.

In 2009 as a personal challenge more than anything I entered a sweater design in Cherry Tree Hill’s Design Contest and much to my surprise took first place. It has always been a great joy for me to share my love of knitting with others and this little confidence boost provided me with the nudge I needed to begin sharing my designs. I hope that my patterns will bring the same fun and relaxation to others that knitting has always brought to me.
